Beloved in Christ, my heart breaks as I report on the worsening famine crisis in East Africa. Over 50 million people are facing severe food insecurity, with children dying of malnutrition daily.
Jesus called these events "the beginning of sorrows" — literally "birth pangs" in the Greek. Just as birth pangs increase in frequency and intensity before a birth, these prophetic signs are intensifying before Christ's return.
Somalia is experiencing its worst drought in 40 years. Yemen continues to suffer under war and blockade. Afghanistan faces economic collapse. These aren't just statistics — these are our brothers and sisters created in God's image.
While we watch for Christ's return, we must act with compassion. Consider donating to legitimate relief organizations helping these precious souls. Our faith must be accompanied by works of love.
