The Earth is Groaning: 2025's Catastrophic Weather Explained Biblically

The numbers are staggering. The images are apocalyptic. And the secular world is scrambling for explanations. But for those of us who know the Word of God, what is happening with the weather in 2025 is not a mystery — it is a fulfillment.

What Has Happened in 2025

Let me walk you through what has happened just in the last few months, because the mainstream media is not connecting these dots:

• January: LA Wildfires — $135 billion in damage, costliest wildfire disaster in US history. Entire neighborhoods of Pacific Palisades and Altadena erased overnight.
• April: Appalachian landslides — communities cut off, roads destroyed, echoing the Helene devastation of 2024.
• May: Amazon River hits all-time record high. 500,000 displaced in Brazil. European mega-floods kill 47 across Germany, Austria, and Poland — worst in recorded history.
• May-June: Tornado siege across the US. 1,400+ tornadoes already in 2025. St. Louis metro devastated by EF4/EF5 outbreak.
• June: Texas/Oklahoma flash floods. 18 inches of rain in 6 hours. Rivers 20 feet above flood stage. 19 dead.

The Birth Pangs Pattern

Jesus used a very specific metaphor in Matthew 24 — birth pangs. A woman in labor doesn't have one contraction and deliver. The contractions come in waves, getting more frequent and more intense as delivery approaches. That is exactly what we are seeing with these weather events.

The Greek word translated "sorrows" is ōdin — it literally means birth pangs. Jesus was telling us the pattern. And the pattern is accelerating.

The cause matters less than the message — and the message is clear: time is short.

2. Be spiritually prepared — More importantly, know where you stand with God
3. Use these events as Gospel opportunities — People are shaken and open
4. Do not fear — "God hath not given us the spirit of fear" (2 Timothy 1:7)
